Permagaia is owned and operated by Sara Ashdown.
Sara has worked with animals for over twenty years both in Australia and overseas.She started her career in pet shops,grooming salons then progessing on to zoo-keeping and vet nursing.
In her capacity as a vet nurse Sara featured on TV's "BONDI VET". She is in Season One and Two. She enjoyed her work both in the practice and in the show. Sara's puppy school was also featured on the show
Sara holds the following qualifications-
- animal attending certificate
- pet store management and livestock control London City and Guilds
- zoo-keeping certificate
- vet nursing certificate IV
- microchip implantation certificate
- petcare nutritional advisor certificate
- parasite consultant certificate
- wildlife carer certificate
She also completed futher learning in intensive care,anaesthesia,fluid therapy
and wildlife management conducted at Sydney University and The Veterinary Specialist Centre
She is also qualified in a number of complementary health fields-

Sara is passionate about further education and has signed up for further learning as well as being the Founder and President of Fraser Coast Animal education and training unit-the not for profit arm of their business.
